We are now closed for Christmas - orders can still be placed but will not be sent until the New Year

Ethical and Social

Committment to so much more than design…

Careful methods of metal reclamation are used to re-cycle precious metal scraps, filings and dust. We even keep our vacuum bags and hand towels! In 2014 we also installed a water filtering system to prevent metal loss during cleaning processes.

Once a year we use a local refinery to melt down all we have saved. The refining or 'assaying' process allows the re-claimed metals to be separated into the different types (silver, gold, platinum) and made into sheet, grain or wire. This goes straight back into use at the bench.

When new metal is bought we use suppliers who refine a large proportion of re-cycled metal when making new bullion for sale.

Fairtrade gold is used whenever possible. It is getting much easier for small Artisan Jewellers to access. We are currently working our way through the process of having access to our own Fairtrade mark. This will go alongside the Hallmarks to offer the consumer total traceability.

Our Experience Days will offer the option of Fairtrade Gold to participants when possible.

95% of all goods we need are sourced in the Jewellery Quarter & collected on foot or bicycle. This is locally referred to as 'going up the trade'. We have been unfaultering in our loyalty to using local services & suppliers to the jewellery trade for over two decades. Some are only footsteps away from the studio workshop. Collette has remained passionate and active in the preservation of the Jewellery Quarter’s history. She supports and re-generation of the area as a place of active business, entertainment and cultural interest.

Neck, Wrist and Ring Sizing

Neckwear

As a default all our pendants are hung on 18 inch chains. We have found this is the most popular length. We can supply our pendants on 16'' 18'' 20'' 22'' 24''.

To decide what is the best length for you, measure an existing chain that is a comfortable length and make a note to help when choosing.

Alternatively, use a piece of string or ribbon to determine the perfect length for you.

Wristwear

Bracelets are very straightforward. The universally accepted length is 7 to 71/2 inches. Ours all have a short extender chain to allow for a little variation.

Bangles can be a bit trickier. We have a great tool you can download to help with this. You can place your own bangle over the template or cut it out and carefully put your hand through the hole. We find the medium is by far our most popular size.

Rings

This to can be tricky, especially if it is for a surprise gift!

We have spent some time developing two tools on one page for you to help determine your size. There are clear instructions on the PDF tool that make it super easy to use and has proven to given accurate measurements.
