In 2014 Collette’s unique signature style was recognised when she was awarded ‘Jewellery Designer of the Year’ by The British Jewellers Association, this being the most recent of a number of awards. However her story starts back in 1992. She studied at the Humberside School of Art, before specialising in jewellery. She completed her studies at the world famous Birmingham School of Jewellery were she achieved BA Honours in Silversmithing and Jewellery.
She started her business in 1995 shortly after graduating and began working directly with the public on a variety of commissions, simultaneously establishing great relationships with outlets selling contemporary jewellery. Her collections can now be found in over 100 contemporary jewellers, galleries and museums throughout the UK. She has also worked on corporate commissions, gifts and awards.
Collette works at the bench as 1/3 of a trio (including her husband) making up her small but highly skilled team. The traditional workshop is housed on the first floor of a Victorian building in the heart of Birmingham’s historic jewellery quarter. Take a look at our Ethical and Social page to learn more.
Her style is a fusion of aesthetic influences taken from nature, history and travel combined with the technical exploration of archaic metal forging and forming techniques. The original items that form the collections are individually crafted by hand using the wealth of her knowledge, style and techniques. The pieces are thoughtfully and intelligently designed, using beautiful materials made to the highest standards, aiming for the wearer to feel individual, elegant and sophisticated.
In addition to the items available to order Collette can work with couples to make engagement, wedding and commitment rings. Using a method of ‘designing in consultation' she can also work with you to create your ‘dream piece’ or an item for a celebration of any kind.
She has also worked on deeply sentimental and memorial pieces and can guarantee to work with compassion, understanding and care

To decide what is the best length for you, measure an existing chain that is a comfortable length and make a note to help when choosing.

Wristwear
Bracelets are very straightforward. The universally accepted length is 7 to 71/2 inches. Ours all have a short extender chain to allow for a little variation.
Bangles can be a bit trickier. We have a great tool you can download to help with this. You can place your own bangle over the template or cut it out and carefully put your hand through the hole. We find the medium is by far our most popular size.
